Instead of just taking a picture of the book, I searched until I found the same cover of my own copy. Laziness that produced more work.
Anywho... Heidi by Swiss author Johanna Spyri has longtime been my favorite. Or maybe it's just the one I've read the most. It's by far the most dog-eared, broken spined book on my shelves.
It's a book that I've loved since a child. After watching the movie (I should clarify that the movie was the 1993 made for TV Disney version), I read the book and fell in love with Peter, the goat herd. And never understood how Heidi could be so nice and pleasant to the rich little invalid, Clara. Maybe it was Heidi's relationship with her grandpa that really drew me in. I've always looked up to my own grandpa as Heidi looked up to hers.
Nevertheless, if you've never read it, I recommend this classic.
