So I have been reading this book called "Firefly Lane" by Kristin Hannah. It's a fabulously heartwarming/wrenching story about two girls who live their lives as best friends. TullyandKate. No spaces. It's a fabulously realistic portrayal of the ups and downs of true friendship because TullyandKate have arguments and disagreements and of course, life just happens, taking them along with it.
Funnily enough I was reading it during a bit of a rough patch with my own best friend. And one specific line from the book really stuck with me and gave me hope that we'd work through our problems:
"That was the thing about best friends. Like sisters and mothers, they could piss you off and make you cry and break your heart, but in the end, when the chips were down, they were there, making you laugh even in your darkest hours."
I finished the book last night and if it were mine, I'd mail it to B to let her read. But B, I want you to read it anyway. Please? And do yourself a favor, keep a tissue box close at hand.

Awwww... that's a super sweet post. Thanks. I will try to read it as soon as I can. I am finishing a book right now and then I have another one I have to read, but I'll put it in line. :) And I would like to see you soon. Do you have plans the last week befor the last weekend of this month?
