Making a list...

It has been a long.... long.... looooooong time since I made a "wish list." But after listening to my kids all day talk about what they want for Christmas and what Santa is bringing them, I felt the need to create my own list for Santa. So Santa... if you're out there reading my blog here are some ideas of what you could bring me. I promise I've been mostly good this year and you should probably see my name on the Nice List.

1. A Garmin GPS system... not only am I asking for this for myself but also for any future passengers. Save us from driving around Scary Town, USA and prevent the frustration that accompanies making a wrong turn. I was not gifted with any sense of direction so maybe I should be gifted with a GPS to make up for it?

2. David Benoit cd... (but it needs to have three specific songs on it: Every Step of the Way, Shibuya Station, The Key to You) Again, ot only am I asking for this for myself but it is something I intend to use in my classroom. David Benoit is a fabulous artist. When my brother was a baby, his music was sometimes the ONLY thing that could calm him down. I am hoping if it can calm down a screaming newbord, toddler, child... it could also tame the zoo that is occasionally my classroom. And give me a little bit of my sanity and patience back.

3. Glee soundtrack Volume 2. I know. It came out today and I don't have it yet? Hmmm. That is because I am taking my self-imposed financial house arrest seriously. Even though I could go get it now, while it is on sale... I told myself I wasn't allowed to buy things until after payday to prevent myself from becoming overdrawn. But really... if I were to go get it this week on sale, as opposed to two weeks from now when it isn't on sale, I would save myself two or three dollars. I might have to think about this one some more... stay tuned.

4. Arrested Development Season 1. Because I have all the others.

5. Zune Points. LOVE picking songs and shopping in the Zune Marketplace! There are lots of songs I would like but don't want the whole album.

6. AT&T U-verse to be available in my area... Get on this, Santa! Charter is mean and high priced and not even very good service. I think I would be much happier with U-Verse but how can I know when it isn't even an option?!?

7. A Teleportation Device. Most of my friends and family don't live anywhere near me, as close as two hours away. But I could see them all the time if only I could get there in a Beam me up, Scotty style!

8. A kiss. Yeah. I just want to make out. Sorry. Give me a hot guy and some mistletoe, please.

And last for now:
9. A Roku Digital Video player... So I can watch Netflix on my tv. Please. And thank yo.

Alright, Santa. What do you think?

*Please note I realize this holiday is about much more than the giving and receiving of gifts. And that Santa Claus shouldn't be the primary focus but don't judge me for having a bit of fun.*

  1. You're asking for all grown-up things...

  2. Really? But I want them to play with. Most of them are just grown up toys, really... I'd also like a Barbie Dream House. And matching convertible.

  3. LOL! That's better! I bought your present before I knew that a) Glee2 was coming out so soon and b) that you wanted it so badly. I totally would have gotten it for you... it also sounds like it's cheaper where you are than with my discount. But let me know if you want me to get it for $10.50...

  4. I bought it... I broke down last night and got it. It was 9.98 on sale, normally 12.99. I managed to convince myself it was more economical to get it now. I'm a pushover.
